Clifford Harley Bowers, 73, of Johns Creek, Georgia, passed away on August 16, 2023, after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born in Albany on October 8, 1949, to Joyce Matthews Bowers and Walter Harley Bowers. The family later moved to Macon where Cliff graduated from Lanier High School. He attended The University of Georgia and graduated with a B.B.A. in Marketing.

After more than 30 years with BellSouth/AT&T, he retired as a sales Director in 2009. Westminster Presbyterian Church had been Cliff’s church home since March 2001, where he served in many capacities and volunteered with various charities.

A son, husband, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle, Cliff was a loving and devoted family man. He was respected and admired by all who knew him and was a faithful friend. Cliff was an avid reader, disciplined exerciser, music lover, loyal Dawgs fan, and world traveler. He loved time with family at the beach, especially Saint Simons Island, where he loved to ride bikes and eat seafood!

Cliff is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Deirdre Broadfoot Bowers; his daughter Lindsey McCoy (Eric), Roswell; his son Evan Bowers, Johns Creek; his brother Jack Bowers (Sharon), Macon; his sister Martha Clare Crigger (Jeff), McDonough; his twin granddaughters Miller and Cora McCoy; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Gary Mendelson (Peggy), Fernandina Beach, Florida. Cliff was a kindhearted man with a witty sense of humor and a smile for everyone, whose impact will always be felt by his family and friends that love him dearly.

A memorial service for Cliff will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2208 Main Street East, Snellville, GA 30078, at 3:30 PM on Saturday, August 26, 2023, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Center.

An inurnment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery, 1071 Riverside Dr, Macon, GA 31201 (across from Soldiers’ Field), at 2:30 PM on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Comfortable attire advised.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Cliff to Westminster Presbyterian Church or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
